Any reaon my 1967 engine won't work with Zeniths?
I have webers on there but while I am rebuilding them can I pop on some Zeniths? The engine is a 1967 with webers. It has a 1968 cross bar. Do these two carbs install the same on the same intake?

They will work. Should be a painless swap out, as long as the Zeniths are in decent shape internally and jetted correctly for your engine. Sometimes the smog control devices on Zeniths are better off being removed and plugged up.

It'll be just a touch rich with the stock 2.2 jetting but otherwise should be fine. Remove and plug the auxilary enrichment circuit (emmisions stuff) set the idle screws at 2.5 turns and dial her in, you might not go back to the Webers

Zeniths are the little secret no one talks about. I've got 36mm venturis, .65 idles, 1.75 mains and my 3.0 purrs like a kitten until I crack the throttle. Currently rebuilding the passenger size carb to repair a worn throttle shaft bore caused by bent linkage, that's the only real trouble I've ever had with them.
