89 Carrera speaker sizes

Hi all,

I am looking to update the speakers in my carrera, nothing over the top justr something with a little more ummph... can someone please tell me the speaker sizes i need to buy for the doors and the rear? Many Thanks guys

Hi, if you search the forum you will find quite a few threads on the topic. Here's a few examples.

Speaker size, 4X6 or 5 1/4?
How to mount door speakers - mount to door panel or door skin (metal)?
Show me the pictures of your rear seat delete, installed
Speaker and Amp Update
Need recommendation for door speakers, must have good base response
Mounting door speakers.

Yeh 5 1/4" for the door speakers, but I highly recommend going to a 6.5" component setup for more "Ooomph!". I luuuurv my Focal PolyKevlar's

I had to put in a new rear deck anyway, so i put a flat one in. I went with 5 1/4 focal seperates in the door and 2 8 inch subs in the rear floor
