More annoying A/C questions

Hello, I was looking at my partially assembled A/C system, (minus one 8 position switch) and was wondering where the high/low pressure switches are located. Also, there is a metal wire that runs from under my dash to somewhere in the shift console, that is presently not attached to anything-what is that?
What would I do without you guys!
Mike

Mike if I am not mistaken I think that the metal wire that you are refering to makes its way to the evaporator and slides into the fins (temp sensor) but the other side should be attatched to a rotory switch. It determines if the compressor needs to run depending on the rotory therm. setting that you adjust next to the blower motor speed switch.

AHA! That's the switch I'm missing then. Now to track one down... they are asking $315 at the dealer..
Thanks Steve
