damn mice

I was just out on the garage and glanced under my SC. There under the joint between the engine and transmission was a scattered pile of black stuff, looks like little tiny balls of black foam rubber, the kind of stuff you would find wrapped around a roll bar.
I figure a mouse was chewing on something in there.
Before I jack it up and start poking around, and guesses what he got into?
Needless to say there will be a few "samples" of peanut butter in the garage tonight with a special surprise.

They must be delt with before they decide that the top of your motor is a great place to build their den.

I just heard what sounded like a small explosion while trying to start my 3.2 conversion. I rushed to the back of the car and discovered a mangled and broken rat on my intake shroud and what looks like oil (probably rat guts) oozing out of one side of my fan housing. I'm so focking pissed right now. I've never had the mice issue before. I can't even tell for sure if he got blown out of the airbox breather or if he got smashed in the fan.

Stuffed into the seam between the engine compartment and the interior you will find some black foam material.
My guess it that it is simply starting to deteriorate.
I removed mine.

This can be a very serious issue. I work for a lot of dealerships and mouse damage common. For whatever reason they like to chew wires along with building nests. So if you don't want to risk that take it seriously

Maybe just the sound deadening pad against the firewall?
( I think this is what poorsha was describing)
