>As you know, next weekend will be the end to Crystal Cove. There is alot of

>Clinard(Ford West Coast PR Chief and owns a '65 911, the cover car from the

>Here's the opportunity, the outdoor parking easily holds 600+ cars, the
>building is an outstanding example of modern architecture and landscaping,
>we have an incredible Cafe on site with Starbucks coffee that is willing to
>be open during that time, its located right at the Spectrum so you can
>actually walk to the shops, we have room for trailers if some really

>doesn't become commercial, disrespectable, unsafe or a swapmeet we're OK.

>Clinard at jclinard@ford.com. or Tom Shaughnessy at GT40MIRAGE@AOL.COM Our
>building is the North America headquarters for Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston

>it out on Google Earth at 7905 Gateway, Irvine, Ca 92618. Its right at the
>405/ I5 Y at the mouth of Laguna Canyon Road in Irvine. Really easy access.
>There's also the opportunity that each week a car brand or a theme(LeMans

Interesting. So what happened that killed the original location? Local homeowners finally get fed up with the Saturday AM ritual?

I sure don't miss the OC.

What weekend does this begin?

I liked going to Crystal Cove, but only because of the cars. This sounds great, too.

Jon, check a thread I posted in off-topic. I picked up an article that the parking lot where it went on said it was getting out of hand for several reasons.

You must miss us, right?? The SOCG? The former Red Targa gang? You remember don't you.

Wayne, thanks for the post. Good to know.

Excellent! ten minutes from my house. I'll definitely be more motivated to make it now.

Of course I miss the SOCG! The Porsche crowd down there is great. It's some of the other crap that I just don't miss.

I got a flyer on the show at Ford, someone gave it to me this morning at a local show. Looks like it is really going to happen and could be a good spot. Starting next Saturday.

You are one pack of lucky dogs down there. A huge tip of the hat to Freeman. It's all too rare that a major car manufacturer actually has a "car guy" in it's executive ranks. Ford is lucky to have Freeman, and I am one who is looking forward to seeing the results of his work in showrooms!

Well, there's no ocean view, but the offer is very nice. Kudos to you guys for steppin' up. Count me in. I'll support you. Let me know if you need help as I'm in the area. Maybe I can cox my b-in-law to bring down his '56 LC Mk II.
