Bowden tube routing (Clutch Cable)

Hi all. I'm replacing my Clutch cable and was wondering if anyone know's the proper routing for the short cable sheath (Bowden tube) that runs between the transmission and firewall. I'm a little supect of the way it is currently set up.(74 Carrera)
