Attn: TX Hill Country Pelicans
First let me apologize for posting this in the technical forum but I knew it would get seen here.
Myself and a friend are planning a small trip to the Kerrville area in our 911's this next week 10/9-10/11. Main purpose is to do some spirited driving in the beautiful Texas Hill country. We will be staying 2 nights in Ingram. I want to ask anyone in that area if it would be possible to get a contact number just in case we have a mechanical that leaves us stranded in the middle of nowhere. It occurred to us that we both know absolutely no one down there much less a Porsche shop or parts house. Our cars are over 20 yrs old and it would put our minds at ease knowing someone was available for advice and/or help if we needed it. PM me if you would like to volunteer. If anyone is available you can contact me to join up with us if you want. Thanks, Jeff Heres the cars. ![]()

You may also want to grab some contact info from the PCA Texas Hill Country website, http://www.hcrpca.org/ The PCA group in the Austin area is a nice group of folks. I went to their Porscheadillo several years back. Lots of people for the show and the drive afterwards.

Yes I thought of that after I made the above post. I have already had one reply via PM.
I must say I am overwhelmed by the Porsche/Pelican/PCA community. What a great bunch of people! I am proud to be a part of it.

This weekend is Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg. I will be there with the family. Otherwise I would join you on a drive.
I had to pull a map out to find some good roads. BTW, get a TX Gazetter Map. It will have all the backroads including the dirt. You MUST travel down some dirt roads or your Hill Country Run is incomplete! ![]() 16S from Kerrville to 470W to 187N to 39 into Hunt then to Kerr Wildlife area then 41West L on 339S merge with 83S to Ulvalde 55N then L to 334W to Brackettville 674N to RockSprings to 377N back up to I10 just west of Ingram. I sent you a PM with my number. I will be more than 2 hours from INgram but just in case...

We have a map from this place.
www.lonestarloops.com It was highly reccommended by a friend at work who is into Harley's. The roads you mentioned are already on the list we have. Too bad you cant hang around for an extra day and go with.
