Bye Bye SC... :(
Well, the 83SC has been sold...
![]() A sad moment, but it's time to move on. I am now shopping for a 930, or perhaps a late Carrera with performance upgrades. No track cars, please. The money's in the bank, so if anybody wants to sell..... I am willing to travel as far as CA to get something nice, since here in Canada, we simply do not have much to choose from. ![]() ![]() new owner on the left ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I hate freight charges

I always expect to hear the squealing of tires and the simultaneous crunch of metal/shattering of glass as the proud new owner rounds that first corner just out of my sight with my former cars......

Jeez, I am depressed just looking at this. The number of photos you shot as the car left shows how much you loved the car. Why did you sell it? With that front lip, it was ready for a whaletail. What a beautiful car you had.
Well, a new chapter in life for you. 930? Awesome! Go get one.

Are those the wheels replicas?
I thought real Turbo twist wheels were directional. The left side would symmetrical to the right side. The wheels on the car are the same left or right, except that on one side, it will be spinning in the wrong direction. |

Ruf-Porsche, yes those wheels are replicas (Mile Miglia), and they reverse direction on the other side. Heavy muther's too.
Won, no worries, I'm always ready to help. It's only been a week since the sale, and now reality is sinking in.........I DON'T HAVE A PORSCHE....

Hmm, you were in the same boat as me. I had a 81 SC and wanted to sell also to replace with a 930. But when you start shopping around you realise that a 964 is so much more motor car than a 930. The 964 has so much more everything (except the turbo) and I decided that it was much better going for a 964 over a 930 as you get so much more for your money. Thats just my opinion of course but thought it might help you out when deciding aswell. And all the articles I have read end up with the 964 being a bit quicker around a track than the 930 anyway. I do love the 930's though but would much rather a 965. Thats where the money problem arises again. Thanks for sharing the pics and good luck with your new purchase. Don't forget to send pics when you have it of course.
