Cheap porsche parts...

I just wanted to let everyone know that a company named Vertex Auto appears to be one of the best places to purchase porsche parts for cheap. Check out :
http://www.**********.com/

Has anyone dealt with them yet?

Yes, I've bought from them. They charge you for using a credit card when placing an order, so I think the sense of buying cheap is conveyed until you get the bill.
I guess they have to make up for it somewhere......go figure

Have you purchased from them before? If so, how does the credit card work?

I purchase all of my parts from them, here from Brazil( I have friends that are always traveling Brazil-Miami and they deliver it to me ( no shipping and taxes cost) And always paid with credit card. Never had a problem.
ohhh, just one thing, I ordered suspension bushings for my car, and they delivered wrong rear bushings.

I buy most of my stuff from Pelican. I like the fact that they can ship by US Priority mail which gets to me in a couple of days for under $5 AND they deliver on Saturday.

If you want to order from Vertex first check their ads in Panorama or Excellence. The prices quoted in these publications are typically cheaper than listed in their catalogue. If you quote the published price they will honor it.

I have ordered from Vertex before and would give them a 6.5 out of 10. Their prices are the lowest but i have had problems with their slowness in shipping. Several times when they have said that the parts are in stock they really werent. The guy i deal with there Charles is a good guy and works hard for the sale unfortunately Vertex's underlying infrastructure to support getting the product out the door doesnt support his quality effort.
On the other hand buying from Tom here at PP is a breeze, they are slightly more expensive but "touch wood" everything works like clockwork and they dont bull**** you on how long it will take to source etc.etc.
Another thing i've found out is that if you think a price is too far out of wack with the rest of the market, just call Tom and he will always do his best to get the business.

I have not dealt with them but anyone that charges a surcharge on credit cards is questionable. The last I heard, doing so was illegal.

I have delt with Vertex also and have had no problems. They were very heplful. I don't know if they still operate as they did in the past, but if you were a regular customer, they would ship items C.O.D.

I've bought items totalling 2,000.oo from them. They delivered UPS, and I made them SWARE on a date it would hit my porch..because of that...I never had delivery problems. You can always call a companies false delivery claim by calling the next day for the tracking number...for me, If they can't give it to me, or call back within the day to give it to me...I tell 'em I'm going elsewhere.
I'm looking at some of these reciepts, and I will repeat what I (repeated too many times). They charge for using a charge card...
Just get the GROSS TOTAL BALANCE after shipping before you give them the card #..If you like...you buy.
