911 throttle position sensor

Putting an Electromotive TEC II EFI on a 944. Need a potentiometer type throttle position sensor to replace the switch. Was told that there is a Bosch sensor for the 911 that bolts on. Anybody know about this?

I don't know for sure but I can imagine that it would work. Bosch made the FI components for many cars and the only difference often is the plug. Good luck!

I don't know what type of throttle-position sensor the Motronic DME-controlled system uses, because I have not seen the factory manual, or read the circuit description, but I have a funny 'feeling' that is NOT a variable resistor (potentiometer) type sensor, because of the wide variation in underhood temperatures it would have to work under.

What I do know is that the earlier D- and L-Jetronic systems used a switch-type sensor that generated a series of ground pulses directly dependent on the angle the shaft was turned.

My suggestion would be to contact Electromotive to see what sensors are compatible. They ARE still in business, right?

Thanks for reply.
944 is a switch with contacts for idle and about 3/4 open trottle. Jon Milledge says he uses a Bosch sensor and buys when he needs one , so did not have one to sell.
Still looking for a pot type sensor???
