Fan for front oil cooler in '85 911

Hi all,

I wanted to find a Fan for the front oil cooler in my '85. I understand the '85s have the radiator type cooler with no fan. Then in '86 they got the fan.

So if anyone know where to get one or what should be done, I appreciate it.

I suggest you go to www.batinc.net and look at the after market fans. Take some measurments and and talk with them about whether the fan would be a pusher or a puller? I'm not sure. The cost should be about $90 US or you can spend $ 300 US for a factory fan like I did. Wish I new about the after market place first. I our car does't have the thermoswitch on the oil cooler you may have to wire the switch for manual operation only. There are other articals on this BBS. Look under Scott Matre postings for info on all of the subjects.
