Hey guys,

I am building an RSR on a 1973 911 and would love to disconnect the wires and redo the bad looking stuff but im a liitle scared with all the wires on the back of the gauges. Does anyone have an EASY TO READ wiring diagram for the entire engine and gauge diagram.

Thanks

There is no such thing as an easy to read wiring diagram! You might want to look at some later editions of the diagrams, some are easier to read than others. Basically the color coding and connections did not change at least until the C2s. I think our host has some color editions available online. Good Luck! I feel your pain.

I have taken the factory wiring diagram that is posted on the Pelican Parts web page and made several enlarged (11 x17) copies. When I need to trace a circuit, I pull out a clean drawing and use a highlighter to trace the wires.

& trace just the ones on the circuit(s) you need.

Someday, somebody will put the thing on an animation where clicking one item on will highlight all the current flow paths.
- Darryl??

One thing you could do is to document the ground stars & connectors and where they are located. If you posted that, it would help a lot of other people.

Good Luck!

Garage
I took the color diagrams(2) from the factory service manual for the 1972 model year to Kinko's and had them enlarged to 11x17, then laminated. Now, I can trace wires with a marker and wipe them off when I'm done. Works great!
Cost $13. for the two.
