Looking for a source for a 6X15 Fuchs for spare

I’ve been trying to track down a single decent 6X15 Fuchs to use for a spare. I’ve posted to the classifieds and am waiting to see if something comes up but would anyone have any ideas as to where else I might try to scare one up?

Thanks

somebody was just asking about prices - maybe they were trying to sell (or was it you)

I just sold the 2 I had a couple weeks ago, but you might look on PCA, or on rennlist's parts ads. I assume you already checked Pelican? also ebay?

also Harvey Weidman or Al Reed are likely to have some - dunno if they'd sell ones that aren't refinished.

they aren't that rare so they should pop up periodically

Thanks Randy,

It was me I have looked here and on Ebay. I had a bid on one yesterday but lost it when it went over $210. That's why I was wondering what the going rate was. I'll try Rennlist and PCA next.

Why not go cheapskate, since it's only for the spare? Cookie cutter. Paint to taste. They are light, and store away in the trunk just fine. Probably could pick one up from any Porsche wrecked-em yard for under $50.

It a question of look and me being one anal SOB.

My winter project is a front trunk cleaning and re-fresh. I want to replace this

With a fuch finished like this

I did them myself and still have all the materials so it's a consistent look

You could call the two main Porsche dismantlers -- I think DC Automotive is one and, not sure of their name, but there's one in the Los Angeles area.

I bought a single one from Jason Cullen here in San Jose to use as a spare about a year ago. I don't know his ID on Pelican, but on eBay, I believe it's porscheltd. Gary

Stratton MotorSports in Winter Park. Call the shop at (407) 629-1911, we'll be there all day Satuday, as usual.

Thanks Jason and Steve,

I scored one Thursday. A guy who lives 5 miles from home restores 356's ,beautifully I might add, and had a stack of them. I'm in the process of refinishing now. This one had a fair amount of pitting so lots of sandpaper was in order. I finally finished polishing the lip this morning. Now comes the easy part.
