Cruising Pelican in comfort and style
Just made a new task chair out of a 911/944 seat I had. The base came from a very inexpensive, very uncomfortable task chair. The chair was $30 or so from Staples several years ago, the seat I had laying around. Some angle iron and Sawzall cut to the mounting bracket on the chair, and 8 bolts later I was in business. The tilt and slide still works, and I used existing holes that were in the sliders. The seat is completely unmodified.
It's quite comfortable and should help me during the 911-deprived winter months. At some point I'll remove the seat belt attachment, but for now it isn't impacting the chair negatively in any way. ![]() ![]() |

I like how you retained the seat belt on your office chair. Gives it a more realistic feel, I am sure.
