Donnie,
I would've been there, but the slant got written off this Friday afternoon.
It's over at Strattons.

The light at Denning & Webster was out. I let traffic clear out of all directions then SLOWLY preceeded south on Denning and WHAM, got nailed by a tree house (Sequioa) doing about 35 mph. The WPPD officer that was already there directing traffic had to jump back on the s/w to avoid getting clobbered. I probably have a pretty good eye witness (cop) who said he was really pissed. One, that he almost got hit and two, that my car got nailed. I'm sore, the car is toast, and his insurance company is going to choke. The car will be bought back for the motor, tranny, the 3-piece BBS, B&B exhaust, suspension, brakes, you get the picture. I always wanted to see what she'd do on the track. I guess now it will have to be in a Stratton race car with all the drive train out of this one. Drop by Saturday, we'll be there! Gary is taking pics tonight and I'll post them.
Later,
Steve Ed

There also was a really cool looking Connaught race car in dolphin gray, beautiful - Will post it later. But overall it was somewhat of a letdown to me. Hot as hell, and maybe 3% European cars total ! Oh well..

If you look closely, you will see he welded up the injector bungs, it is pure carbed. Probably made this choice when he saw the price of webers! It was a machine shop, he had cards sitting in the bay. The install was very clean and looked to be well done.

I agree, the wife was not pleased with that drive just to stay for such a short while. Lots of rods, and late models.

Hey I recognize that lake. I used to live in Lakeland during some of my formative years. Explains a lot about me...

Don't recall any RSK/RS60s, or other race cars parked around it though...

No more white Porsches!

Jeremy,
Are there any unique BA Porsches over in Tampa, maybe something in a dark exterior as I've had both of my previous Porsches totaled by others in the past 1-1/2 years. I've got friends looking out in CO., CA., NW. and here in Orlando. I'll have the insurance check (hopefully soon) and will I want to line the next one up preferably through someone I know. Of course Gary Stratton knows everyone, and their sister, from Cali to Fl so he'll go with me to check it out. I bought the Carrera ont in NW and that was a great road trip!
Later,
Steve Ed a.k.a. the "Ex" slantman

Hey Ex-Slantman

Suncoast PCA Newsletter (with a few cars)
http://www.pca.org/sfl/Profile%20October%202006%20all%20updated%209-25-06.pdf

But for a truly unique car - call Joe Vatter - German Tech, Inc. Phone: (727) 547-0818. He's my mechanic - tell him Jeremy Dixon said to call him. He knows of all kinds of cars that are for sale - or "maybe" for sale.

Last time I was in there he had an old Brumos ST AND a 959...
