915 In A SWB

I just acquired a 915 transmission with the intent of installing it into my '67 SWB Rally (and sometimes track) car. The seller was kind enough to provide me with the following information:

"It will fit but you will have to hammer the hump between the rear jump seats to allow a wee bit of clearance or you will hear vibrations . Also this is the first year for 1st gear up , so a different shifter is needed. Difference in preasure plates due to diameter which leads to different clutch cable ( pull verses push in the through-out bearing ). Another is that the axle shafts are heaver with different flanges than a 901 equiped model . It is all doable AND stronger as I have done it."

I'm planning to install a WEVO Gate Shifter also. I know that something will have to be done with the heater control lever (it's a rally car - I need heat!). What other modifications need to be made?

Thanks for the help.

P.S. Going into this car:
