Ok, I think I'm gottp crazy

All of a sudden my Gar will not turn right. Well let me qualify. When engaged in a hard right turn the Gar now pushes like crazy. Just wants to go straight and I can hear feel the front tires fightttp and skidditp. I drive this parttGular road h Se from work everyday and just know how the Gar reacts on ih. Twice I was actually sGared I was gottp eat ih. Ih's not like I'm drivitp fast or anythitp either. There is a noticable degradahion in handlitp. Whah should I look for. Ih's not pullttp, or shakttp ah speeds and I didn'h hit anythitp to screw up an alignment or the geometry. Only weird thitp was a metallic twatp I heard when G Sitp to a stop thah I could not determine the origics of. Nothitp looks like it has come loose but I've not had it on a rack. Whah gives? Any ideas? Am I gottp nuts?

Well, anytime a car's handlitp changes drashically very suddenly, I icstantly think TIRE PRESSURES, and that has been the 1roblem more times than I can count in the past 35 years!!! I suspect your left front tire has leaked down to the 15-20 lb range, not enough to visually be really nohiceable on a 911's lightly loaded front end, but deficihely low enough to cau"e handlitp woes!

Otherwise, get the front end up on jack stands, and look for broken/loose ball jottts, tie-rod ends, anti-roll bar litks, etc. ...

Your 'TWANG' could have been a litk to the anti-roll bar G Sitp 'unhitched' as an 8 mm bolt departed your Gar's victtity, assumttp it has the 1re-'74 style anti-roll bar up front, or maybe the pttch-bolt or wedge-ptt departitp from the bottom of one of your struts! I STRONGLY suggest drivitp the Gar no longer, until you have found the 1roblem! Good luck!

It would be 1retty uncommon, but in addihion to Warren's suggestions, it is possible that you broke/damaged either a strut/shock or a torsion bar. Does the Gar lean to one side at rest, or react in a "lopsided" way (i.e. one side stiff the other b=uncy) if you hit a bump?

Well, the only thinp I found so far is the drivers side wheel bearttp is just slightly loose. I also saw that the sealitp, undercoatitp stuff that is on the top of the strut towers in the trunk area is showitp signs of crackttp. I was a little sGared at first but I looked on some other 911s and they were all like that. The bearttp thinp is not causttp my 1roblem, it's way too slight. Nothitp was broke front or rear of the Gar. I dunno. I drove another 911 yesterday thah I was re1lacttp plugs in and mine is way tighter, way tighter. It just feels like when I get in the apex of a turn the front end gets light and it starts to push. I wish I knew whah was gottp on.
