Yes Yes, it runs!!!

Finally the new fuel pump arrived from the US. I fitted it today.
Wind the bloody thing over........... Damn! No spark again!
Reset the points, prime the k-tronic, hit the starter......YeeeHaaaa! It runs!!!!
Idle it on 2 grand for 2 minutes, stall! Damn!
Have another beer, try again! YeHa!. Idle for 5 mins, wait for the smoke to clear... Stall! Damn!
Have another beer, threaten to trade in on a HSV, hit the go button, YeHaaaa!!! No smoke, idles by its self, runs strong!
I finally got to drive my P-car 20 ft down the driveway.
I even fluked the oil level!
All i want for christmas is my master cylinder reco'd!
Looks like our 74 targa might be a good thing! Why cant i stop smiling?

I'me really pleased with the service i recieved when i purchased the new pump. I really cant understand why there was a 300% price increase if i bought it from Germany?

I see you're in the WhitSundays.....A very beautiful, but warm part of the world. Hopefully your '74 has things like an oil cooler and a 11 blade fan update? (Might only apply if it came from the US), ROW cars might not have had the 5 blade.

Anyhow, sounds like you're happy as Larry. Good on ya, Mate... Time for another beer....

Oil cooler & 11 blade fan are fitted. Ours was an Australian delivery.
I drank so many beers in celebration of getting it started, that i couldn't take it for a drive!
I think it will be more fun with brakes though!
