tires for 7 & 8" 16" Fuchs (951)

What size tires fit 7 and 8 inch x16" rims off a 951? They will go on a 82 911 sc that has been lowered and mildly tracked aligned... with standard brakes? What do you recommend? Thanks.

225x50 for the 7s and 245x45 for the rear.

The 951 8" wheels have more offset than 911 8's. Although there will probably not be any rubbing they won't fill out the fender as well. The 7's are the same as the 911 7's except they have the look of a 6" and more caliper clearance (same offset though).

I have 225/50 and 245/45 Hankook R2Ss on my 951 7s and 8s. I'm using a 5mm spacer on the 8s since they don't fill up the fender well. I have a lot of camber so they may look better on your car.

Like everyone said, 225/245s. The 951 8s have a 23mm offset, which puts it 13mm further inside the fender lip than the 911 8s (10mm offset). If there was any clearance issues, I think it'd be with the oil lines on the right rear. If it were me, I'd probably run them with longer wheel studs and a 1/2" spacer to fill out the wheel well as much as clear the lines.

I have 951 8s with 225s (front tires) and have put them on the rear with no clearance issues. Never tried 245s on them, though.
