Clutch adjustment question?
Now that I can do a side by side comparison of my 915 and my G-50 I'm realizing that I like the feel of my 915 and the clutch on my G-50. The clutch on my G-50 requires very little leg travel while releasing the clutch. My 915 seems to require my knee to be quite bent before the gear is engaged and I'm off and running. An old left knee injury is the problem and only is a problem starting out in first gear when I feel the most pressure on my knee. Is it possible to adjust my 915 clutch to engage the gear earlier so as to not put so much pressure on my knee? Hate to even ask this question but I thought I would give it a try.

The lining on the disk has a lot to do with when the clutch engages:
A new disk would engage earlier with all other parts/adjustments optimal. You could try to cheat a little by adjusting the recommended 1mm smaller. There is also a possibility to adjust the clevis position on the front-end in the pedal cluter assembly. Bentley SC Repair Manual describes the procedure for clutch adjustments 301. Are you sure that your clutch is adjusted right? All parts lubed? A new clutch cable, properly lubed, and adjusted may help. The key is lube. Before installing, the inner cable has to be pulled out of the sheat and lubricated with Silicon. The C-shaped helper spring can only work if parts are good and lubed and adjusted properly.
