Unknown oil tank

Can anyone tell me what the application is for this oil tank? It's for a 911 and I assume early but has no oil level sender. I plan to sell it but don't know how to list it.

That looks like the tank from my '70E, except that there is no provision for an oil level sender on yours. So, it's not for a '72, and is for a model that didn't have an oil level gauge.

I've got one just like it that I took off of my '68 911. You're right that it is for the cars that didn't come with the oil level gauge as standard equipment.

I swapped mine out when I added the S instruments.
