window regulator
One side widow regulator is broken, it is the rail at the base of the glass. the motor and the rest of the parts are all ok. Is it posable to replace that rail ? if so do I need to take the window out ? and how !!
Thanks Steve. |
I've got the same problem with mine, Pelican has the parts available (mine's a 77 and needs some retrofitting due to the new style of regulator).
101 Projects book has a section dedicated to this, it's a fairly simple procedure. You do not need to take the window out, there are enough cut-outs in the door panel to replace the regulator. |
Hi, it is the rail or the pivot pin that failed? If it is the pin, it is a $33 part your can special order from pelican and replace instaed of the modifcations you need to get a later regulator assembly to fit.
Do a search here for the details. And yes, you can remove the regulator without removing the glass or the frame. |
I did new regulators, window rail, etc
make sure you order the correct parts as there are variations on year, model, up-grades, etc. fwiw... i also installed power locks. |
Thanks all
Actualy it's only the part that is attached to the glass. thanks Steve. |
