Weber accelerator pump adjustment
I run triple 40's.
When I'm WOT, it take's a moment to clear the excess fuel and then the motor comes alive. How do I reduce the volume of fuel moving through the jets. I understand there is an adjustment on the sides involving an accuating cam? Pics would be a bonus... thank you KT |
Hello?

How do you know you have too much squirt from the accelerator pump? Could be not enough fuel as well.
Someone should have a diagram of the pump adjustment area on the carb. It's an external threaded link from the accelerator pump housing cover to the throttle linkage. Longer stroke = more volume. You need a tiny graduated vial hung from a wire into the throat to measure the fuel volume and, of course, the factory specs to start from. Also check float level. If it's too low, the engine will run lean at mid-range or have a flat spot. The correct A/F mixture is a combination of correct float level and accelerator pump discharge volume. Sherwood |
I'm not looking for diagnosis, just "how to" adjust.
Thanks. KT |
