techs in Raleigh,NC
Can anyone recommend a good tech in the Raleigh area. I need to set the CO on my 3.2 and no one in my area has an exhaust analyser to set the CO. Wilmington or Greenville would be ok also.
Thanks

I do all my own work, but if I had to pick a shop, it'd be European Performance...

I go to European and have been very pleased....
other choices are former Leith (factory dealer) head mechanic Gary (forgot his last name) up at Leith Euro on Capital Blvd , he's very good and very meticulous, and another former Leith (factory dealer) mechanic (forgot his full name) at Peak automotive (there are two of them, not sure which one he's at) Then a bit farther out is Chuck Miller at Millersport in Hillsborough, have heard nothing but positives but haven't been there myself

Chuck Miller in Hillsborough is THE MAN! He's the only one I let touch my car.

The Digital Chassis in Durham- Brad Moyer- 384-7070
Automotive Solutions- 54 west of Carrboro- Tioga Honigmann- 933-3884 these are both a bit outside of Raleigh but I guess it never hurts to have too much info. I have heard a lot of positives about Chuck Miller as well.

Is European Peformance Jimmy Eliason? If so, I was impressed with him when I bought my 930 a year ago from Motorcar Investments in the front of the bldg. Jimmy had run a $4K ticket on odds-and-ends things before the car was put on sale. When I arrived, on Saturday, to pick it up he'd already driven it for a final check. I liked his very quiet style and listened to everything he told me about 911 ownership--first P-car.

I've heard plenty of good things about Chuck Miller and Jimmy at EP.
Speaking of Raleigh, anyone recommend a glass shop to R&R the windshield on my Targa? Also, should I pick up my own window seal or have the glass company supply it since it's going through my insurance? Thanks !

John,
The local Safelite dealer did a fantastic and very inexpensive job replacing the glass on my '04 F150. They also sold me a 911 windshield for something like $120. I'd try to supply your own seal so you can make sure it is original Porsche - the aftermarket seals I've tried don't fit too well at all. Worth the extra bucks. JRL - yes that's Jim.
