got my manual today!
just got my bentley carrera manual. boy, does it kick a haynes manual's bootie... this thing better turn me into a mechanic soon-
this manual is really well done, in my opinion. it actually outlines most steps with pictures in a very detailed fashion and provides all kinds of testing methods for components. anyone else get theirs? |

Finally got mine this afternoon!
Looks pretty good, but for $120 I think they could have put the schematics in color on slick paper, the way they did on the $20 VW manual from 28 years ago! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |

warren-
am i totally missing something? i was looking at the section on valve adjustment, but i could see no reference to what the clearance should be. all it said was that you should use a feeler guage to set it, but it didn't say how thick! did they forget to specify, or is their feeler guage set to some standard size i'm not aware of????? |

Adam,
The P213 tool they assume you are using has a 'standard' 0.004" feeler gauge 'element' installed, and retained by a couple of very tiny screws and nuts that SHOULD be secured with Loctite thread sealant/locking compound! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
