got my manual today!

just got my bentley carrera manual. boy, does it kick a haynes manual's bootie... this thing better turn me into a mechanic soon-

this manual is really well done, in my opinion. it actually outlines most steps with pictures in a very detailed fashion and provides all kinds of testing methods for components. anyone else get theirs?

Finally got mine this afternoon!

Looks pretty good, but for $120 I think they could have put the schematics in color on slick paper, the way they did on the $20 VW manual from 28 years ago!

warren-

am i totally missing something? i was looking at the section on valve adjustment, but i could see no reference to what the clearance should be. all it said was that you should use a feeler guage to set it, but it didn't say how thick! did they forget to specify, or is their feeler guage set to some standard size i'm not aware of?????

Adam,

The P213 tool they assume you are using has a 'standard' 0.004" feeler gauge 'element' installed, and retained by a couple of very tiny screws and nuts that SHOULD be secured with Loctite thread sealant/locking compound!
