Letter in engine number??

I thought this was an 80s 3.0 engine case number is "*64C2011*"

What does that mean?

64C2011
'82 US/CDN 3.0 liter SC engine, type 915.16

For a 64C2011, the engine type designation is actually 930/16. The transmission is a 915/63. Great numbers, all of them. :)
