hmm. the odometer quit working and my clock runs on it's own time frame???

79 911 SC.

My clock seems to quit working off and on all the time. When i park it at night the clock seems correc, then the morning I get in and it's like 4 -6 hours slow. is this a common probbo?

Also, my 4th gear seems to quit on the power band. I was driving it onthe highway and was at about 5500 RPM in 4th and it just was not giving any more power, then shiftd up to 5th and power was good again. Weird? any advice...

My white guages faces came so i am excited and a bit nervous about this project. I'll show some pix when complete. Probably over weekend so's I got lots a time...

Both the odometer and clock issues are VERY common and there are tech articles here on the board that address them. I did my clock and it is great now. There are several vendors who sell the replacemnt odo gear.
Not sure about the flattened power band in 4th...lots of variables...timing, dizzy advance, CIS adjustment......
