first one
Bell,
Yes this is my first 911. I've wanted this car since I was 16. Also in 1982, so now I'm 40 and i figure it's now or now. It's amazing when you look at one you hear it, when you own one you listen to it! I'm new to Porche ownership, but have been a wrench on all of my cars. The porsche actually seems simpler to work on except for that whole "step 1: remove engine" part of every damn project ![]() |

![]() This can't be your first 911! I had to read dozens of 915 posts before I came to this same conclusion. Glad to have you aboard! Don't forget to take lots of pictures when you do your exhaust and tranny repairs (which you inevitably will!)

That's a beautiful car you have. Congrats! As for the shifting, mine shifts fine since the tranny bushings were changed. Prior to that, there was so much slop, I couldn't find 3rd gear.
