Cool Couple of pics. and a to-do list

This my new 82SC 3.0, got it three months ago now . I love this car and pretty much plan to be buried in it. There's only 54K on the clock, she pulls hard, and shifts like crap, so I figure it's running perfect. Stock so far but the plans include: SSI w/2-2, Power clutch kit, tensioner upgrade and general maint. Bought this one on a wing and a prayer, didin't find this forum till the day I bought the car. Go figure. So far so good though. Really crossing my fingers on the head studs. I've got a "tick" coming from the left side that I think is a valve, doing a tune up and valve adjust this weekend. Enough reading, time to jump in.

first one

Bell,
Yes this is my first 911. I've wanted this car since I was 16. Also in 1982, so now I'm 40 and i figure it's now or now. It's amazing when you look at one you hear it, when you own one you listen to it! I'm new to Porche ownership, but have been a wrench on all of my cars. The porsche actually seems simpler to work on except for that whole "step 1: remove engine" part of every damn project I've got 101 projects, bently manual, SC essential companion and all the stuff on this forum. I fear no evil. Please all pray to the head stud gods for me.

LOL!
This can't be your first 911! I had to read dozens of 915 posts before I came to this same conclusion. Glad to have you aboard! Don't forget to take lots of pictures when you do your exhaust and tranny repairs (which you inevitably will!)

That's a beautiful car you have. Congrats! As for the shifting, mine shifts fine since the tranny bushings were changed. Prior to that, there was so much slop, I couldn't find 3rd gear.

Beautiful ! Black is always black. Canīt go wrong.

The valve adjust is my favorite DIY maint. job. Dig right in!
