the kit for the white guage face has a speedometer that does not seem right?

My speedometer in my 79SC goes to 150. The increments line up in very different spots than the speedometer for the white guage face. And I broke teh speedometer needle so I am unsure what to do now> I hear in one thread using the red straw from a wd40 can works, but I cannot see how? and there were NO marks or lips where my speedometer rested. so I have only the mark where 0 seems to be on the original speedo. but again the speeds do not coorespond to the new face.

uggh,, and I was unsure of how to get the light bulbs out so I snipped the wires and had to resplice them together with those wire nuts... ANd now I learned how to get the bulbs out ...

what a freaking nightmare of a job so far. SO Need to fix teh speedo, figure some way to calibrate it and finish my job.

Still the tach and the druck are not done yet. It has made a difference though as I have replaced all the bulbs except one. On the druck guage there are 3 holes for lights, but I cannot see a third wire anywhere inside that can go there. Is this an extra?

Send the speedo to Palo Alto Speedo for repair & recalibration.
