8-pin power seat connector?

I purchased a nice set of power seats from a forum member and installed today. Underneath each seat is an 8-pin male connector that apparently plugs into the wiring harness of whatever car the seats came from ('89?).

I put power (+/-) individually to the pins and the motors operated properly via the switches mounted to the seats.

I'm reluctant to cut the wires to adapt to my car ('79 SC) and would like to find the female connector for this plug. Or, can I cut the wires (one big red and one smaller brown from each motor) and splice to a power source?

???

Thank you,

D. Ocean
