Since we are on 84 Cabs. . .

Kurt, did you install those fender guards yourself?

No, I bought it with them.
And yes, I love your Cab! I remember seeing it pictured before, but I didn't want to take a pic of mine until I got the Convertible Boot.

I have a couple of questions for you by the way.

Your headlights: You have a smaller lip....in fact they're slanted back a bit.
It looks like a later model than 84 with those headlamps. Know the details on em?

I know you have exhaust mods. I remember the post. I was thinking about going with some mods in that area myself...Maybe tri-flo muffler, or what you have (including headers)
If you get a chance, let me know what you have, how much paid, if you installed it yourself, and whether it made a difference in the power.

I picked up an accelerometer a long time back (a friend who owns a Honda S2000 is borrowing it at the moment), but I'm going to try to do some HP tests before and after any and all upgrades to see if there's any significant difference.

Kurt B-
The headlights are actually H4's w/painted rings to match. . . yours would look the same if you upgarded and had your rings painted to match. . .since upgrading from the old stock lights, night time driving is 100% improved.

I upgraded to the B&B Tri-Flo package including all S.S. headers, heat exchangers, muffler, and dual 4" tips (I had the cat converter left off-woops).
This system dropped almost 70 lbs off the rear of the car, and the sound is AWESOME!!! The performance is also much improved, I'm not sure what the number are, but the car drives diferent now. As far as the cost, I started w/B&B and shopped around from there, finally settling on Winward, they were 3/4 bills cheaper than direct from B&B....I think I paid around $2,100. I was afraid of the studs, and what I would do if one broke, well two broke, but it was no big deal, I had my wrench do the work, all labor of course. You could probably get one and have it installed for just under $3K. My wrench, Tom Charleswort, who's on the PCA tech commitee suggested B&B system from experience, and I'm glad I went with his suggestion. One last item, the rear valance has to be modified, or cut, in order to have the dual tip. . .below is a pic of the right side and the modification, you can also just see the beefy S.S. Tri-Flo muffler peeping out from under the car, the tips are 4". . .hope this helps!

Jeff, I'm curious as to how much louder your car is now. I've been thinking of updating the exhaust on my '83 SC but I'd like something with around the current noise level - 4" pipes seems like it would be kind of noisy :-)

Emanuel-
It's hard to describe the level or noise factor, mine are called "intermediate." They are middle of the road so to speak, the 4 inch tips are to help it breathe as much as possible.
