Exclamation Is the Gemballa Mirage GT Hot or Not?!

Wow, browsing a favorite blog of mine I came across a Porsche Mirage GT and I'm not sure what the heck to think of it: Jump to See Gemballa Mirage

I beleive there are a host of suspension upgrades, however, the only upgrade for performance is an exhaust system kicking it up to 645 horsepower, somewhat unorthodox for Gemballa no?

Anyway, does anyone think this thing deserves the $1.18M price tag?! Couldn't you get a wicked 996 turbo for a lot less?

Check it out, I vote NOT.

PS: I know this isn't a 911 but there is not Porsche GT forum, is there?

As if a CGT doesn't get enough attention as is.

As a general rule, Gembella has a history of removing any class from stock Porsches.

Even thought I've got an extensively modded 911, I'd rather have a stock one than a Gembella embarasement.

I vote not hot. Gembella has a way of turning everything into Miami Vice circa 1980's

Actually, only Arabs in the Mid-east can afford Gemballa cars. I visited the Gemballa shop in Germany, near Stuttgart, and most of their orders were from the Arab states (and I still have Gemballa literature).

Having seen what was ordered, I can only conlcude that Arabs do not have any taste when it comes to design (the only truely beautiful designs in Arabia were done hundreds of years ago), and BLING in what drives most of them, each trying to outdo their friends and neighbors with their outrageous cars. How do I know? I lived in the UAE for some months, and as a car person, I saw it all.

In that sense Gemballa can be "forgiven", since they only build what the customer ordered.

I vote hot. Lets face it, the CGT is an exotic supercar and gemballa has made it look even more so. As the fellows on top gear have said before, cars like these are meant to be over the top. For 911 based gemballa models...definately not hot. 911s are classy, somewhat understated sports cars that dont benefit from crazy body kits. Never been a fan of gemballa but the Mirage GT looks pretty badass. Black or silver would be better though.

Ok I think this says enough:
"OWN THIS RARE AUTOMOBILE FOR ONLY $6167 PER MONTH WITH 20% DOWN PAYMENT!"

I'm generally not a huge fan of their crazy conversions, but I think the Mirage looks pretty hot. Very exotic looking.

I vote not...and even the flat black 997tt's have too much bling on them...I mean flat black is supposed to be stealthy and discreet, not flashy.

If you tone down the colors that car would be gorgeous. Maybe space grey with black wheels and a NORMAL interior.
