Wheel Bearing Grease

I just installed new front wheel bearings in my '86 Carrera. I used Mobil-1 Synthetic Axle Grease (pink stuff). Any thoughts, experiences with this grease or any better ones? This stuff seems to have a much different consistancy than normal bearing grease. I use the car at the track so my largest worries are how it will hold up during the hot times (not particualary how well it does in water or such). Thanks in advance.
