G50 g-box fill plug

I cannot believe I can't find the upper plug on my g50 box. Can someone tell me, is it on the top of the box closer to the bellhousing or closer to the front of the box? I can imagine it is closer to the diff, but I can't seem to see it. I'm putting on my SSIs and M&K exhaust, so the car is pretty high on jackstands.

Also, is it a 13mm allen or a 17mm allen socket?

Thanks for your time.

Driver's side about 2/3 way up from the bottom if I recall. 10MM allen is OEM. Good luck even after you find it - some of them need a little "coaxing" to get out. Use a long handled socket wrench and lots of muscle.

I don't want to be disagreeable, but I think it's 10mm for Carreras. Available from Tools-Plus. $2.39 last year although it will cost you more in shipping. Soak it with PB Blaster/penetrating oil for a day. I used a 12" piece of 1/2" plumbing pipe as an extension.

Edit I'm going to edit myself above. It is 10mm. I bought 12 & 17 (the SC one) & then had to go buy a set which had the 10mm. My mistake.

Whatever you do, invest in a "good" allen wrench / socket. As stated, they can sometimes be a bear to remove, and you dont want to add insult to injury with a POS china allen wrench.
