West-coast plating referral
I need a referral for a plater on the west coast. Someone that does cad plating. Doesn't matter, northern or southern, it has to cross the Pacific anyway. Thank you!!

I heard terrible news today, Industrial Plating of Seattle has recently gone out-of-business!
Damn EPA! What good are salmon and orcas if you can't get a decent re-chrome job at a reasonable price!

I heard the same Darryl. When I spoke to them yesterday, they said they were just moving, but had no idea when they would be back in business. The guy I spoke to recommended Electro-Finishing in Kent. Do you know anything about them? Thanks!

We send out our stuff to a local shop that does gold ZINC plating- this is what the factory used originally on the engine and body hardware- NOT cad plating.
Typically costs about $125-150 batch of up to 75 lbs (depending how clean it arrives). We can handle it for you if you like and ups it back to you pm me at info@tremotorsports.com

Sorry Jon, no I don't know about Electro-Finishing. Good to hear that Industrial Plating isn't totally out of the picture. Every place I've ever used here in the metro Seattle area has closed their doors. It's getting down-right frustrating! I hear that things are much more lax in Canada but I think U.S. Customs frowns on that kind of trade.

Unfortunately, here at home, the cost of disposal has all but closed everyone down. By the way Darryl, quite the job on your car. I've been following the progress.
TRE Cup--Thanks for the info. I'll be in touch!
