Another step closer: Project update

Zinc plated goodness!!! This weekend will include: completing strut assembly, a-arms & rear control arms w/elephant racing polybronze & mono ball cartridges throughout, e-brake pad assembly. Tub going to paint soon so I'm hoping with all this pre-assembly everything just bolts up! Thanks for listening!

looks great. ever get headers worked out??

nikita76 11-08-2006 05:53 AM

Hey Ben thanks! I have figured out what I'm doing with headers but still wish there would be some custom M&K stainless headers bolting up to my M&K shorties!! What's the new M&K product in development? You can tell me...I won't tell anyone!

well thought about oil cooler lines, and a crossover with integrated shorty mufflers that is center exit. other then that we are to busy with mufflers for much on the new products scope.. oh and one other venture that is top secret need special clearence type thing;)

Hi trconway, welcome to the board! I decided to go with the plating for corrosion protection, simplicity when reassembling, clean, and gosh darn it...pretty as all get up!!

Did you have it done locally? (Read another way: are there any platers left in New York State or have environmental regulations driven them out?)

nikita76 11-10-2006 08:46 AM

Hey John, believe it or not I had to track down this company through other companies and the last one told me to call Nassau Chromium in Mineola. Apparently they do alot of vette, and old school restoration project parts. When I dropped off my parts they asked me what company I was with twice and asked if I was dropping off vette parts.

Where?

nikita76 11-11-2006 12:41 PM

My painter came by last night to pick up the tub. Today we finished the rotisserie and I started sandblasting.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163281018.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163281072.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163281133.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163281188.jpg
