935 springplate or polybronze rear?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am only interested in the speed benefit, not adjustability or saving money at the alignment shop. Is there any value in 935 rear spring plates over Chuck's polybronze bearings with standard spring plates. This is for a rear coil-over mid year 911 that see's 99% track work (Timed sprints on the track. I think you call them DE's) We are comparing $840 to $295. All the serious racers seem to go to the 935 springplates but I think this is for adjustability. I may be wrong. Any thoughts? Thank you.

The only other real advantage to the 935 plate is the ability to raise the pick up point if that is of interest to you at all.
Cheers

If you not using something like the SRP rear control arm mounts to allow the control arm to be raised as well, my understanding is that using the higher pivot location on the 935 spring plates is a bad idea.
Sounds like the poly-bronze may be your best bet. I have them on my '69 911S and they have been great. My RSR has 935 style spring plates...

Gentlemen,
I did not realize that the pivot point was raised on the 935 spring-plates. This explains their attraction. Thank you.

It igves you the option to raise it or run at the stock location. On my car I actually leave it at the stock location.
Cheers
