Driven, not polished

I'm at a point in the build-up of Diane's car that I thought it was time to roll it out and take a pic. RUF front & rear caps (964 "smilie"), AIR IROC decklid/tail. rockers deleted/mounting holes welded. R taillights, 16x7 and 16x9's reanodized by Al & Diane Reed, new Potenzas and other goodies. mikez made some custon "positive" Carrera graphics in silver to match the wheels with a single pinstripe underneath, but they are not on yet because I smashed my left hand last night working on the car (going to be hard playing bass without a little finger until I can move it again)...had to trim just a bit of fiberglass up front this morning because the front tires were catching a bit on turns (cutoff wheel/mini sawzall)...Hope you like the pic, more to come as we progress...(yes, it WILL be lowered). Cheers! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163109308.jpg

great....now I can get the G35 from her. lol AWESOME Craig...glad to see your projects moving along.

Thanks Smitty! Yeah, she's still wanting to sell the G35 to get a 993 cab;) Here's a "butt view" I think you'll like as well...(Rather than going with "side" lights for the plate, I used those "Lite 'N Boltz" that I've seen on street rods. The lights are in the plate mounting bolts. Pretty slick... Cheers!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1163113500.jpg

Great looking ride :)

Wow, looks great. Wondering about your choice of tail; any reason you didn't go with a fiberglass Carrera tail other than looks?

Love the rockerless look as well.

Eric

Eric,
I went with the IROC rear for a couple of reasons: I wanted it to be a bit different than our other '86, I liked the idea of a 1-piece tail/lid, did not want a ducktail, and I just could not pass up the great deal I got on it;)

Cool.. Was just wondering. I also like the IROC tail... Great looking 911. Please post some pics when you get the script on her.

Thanks.

Eric
