Anyone in Virginia???
Are there any 911 owners here on the board living in the state of Virginia? The reason I ask is because I spotted an extremely nice late 70's/early 80's white 911 Turbo over the weekend and was just curious. I believe the license plate was "Bud 4U" or something similar. Anyway, I was in my 2000 Mustang GT and was trying to get the guy in the 930 to get on the throttle so I could hear the wail of his car, and to also see how my stang would compare. Anyway, I finally go the guy to get on it a little bit. We went from about 5mph up to about 60mph before I let off because of slow moving traffic. The guy stayed pasted to my rear fender, but did not move forward. I am certain that he would have blown past me if we would have been able to go faster than 60mph, but I would like to see what would have happened. I really love 911 Turbos, but until I can afford to have one, I guess I will have to be happy with my Mustang GT and 73 911T...not to difficult. If the owner is out there...Nice Ride! - Where did you spot the white 930? Down in your neck of the woods or up here in the greater DC area? - Chuck |

I live in Virginia but in the Richmond area and I have a white 76 that fits the description except for the plates and I haven't been up in that area in some time.

That was Mark Marshallton, who happens to be a distributor salesman for Budweiser. He does have a fast Turbo, and was the car that inspired me to have the same color and everything on my 71e Turbo looker, just no where near as fast.
I believe everything on his engine is stock, but the suspension is a different story. I've seen the car down here in my area about a month ago. I live below Richmond by about 45 min. skip |

Cool...the guy turned into my friend's subdivision. I guess he lives there. He has a very nice car. It did look like it was lowered quite a bit. Had what looked like BBS rims too. Bill ------------------ William Armentrout 1973 911T 2.7 carerra rs specs www.geocities.com/william_armentrout |

Hey y'all (Virginian for hello)
I'm up in N.Va. near Chuck. Haven't seen the white turbo you described, but there are a few up here with the local PCA. I drive a silver 79 turbo with vanity plates and just last week was leisurely driving down Toll Rd with my buddy in a black 86 Turbo. That was the first time either of us was reasonably challenged ('mericun car, rice burner, other german marque). And for looks appreciation from the 911 sucks thread : Mcd's parking lot, slammed pickup driver says"that is low!" I say "yeah and it is fast too!" Just happened to be one of those days when you get compliments everywhere you go. All I can say is, it makes me smile ![]() John 79 930 |

Hey John - -
- What are your vanity plates? Mine are VA plates with "83 SC". Red with a tail. I'll keep an eye out for you on the Toll Road. We live just off Reston Parkway, about 2 miles south of the Toll Road. Chuck |
