Clutch Moan - Is this a problem?

My clutch makes a short and low moan as I ease into first and I was wondering if this is a normal characteristic or if this is the telltale sign of another developing problem? The PPI was clean. Any thoughts (I have a newly purchased 89 911 cab)?

Mine is Similar

I guess the first question would be how many miles on the clutch?

My G50 tranny does something similar at take-off in first but sounds more likle gravel in s coffee can than a moan. G50's are known for being noisy.

I'd suspect that the clutch disc has been overheated and is glazed or burned as well as the flywheel. The pressure plate may be getting weak as well..........

I see a clutch job in your future

My G50 was doing that as well. Replaced the clutch and noise is gone. The PP was pretty beat up on mine.
