Hey those purple nitrile gloves are nice!

I decided to try the disposable purple nitrile gloves you see on the redneck hotrod shows and sure enough they are sweet!

My hands don't smell like rubbers after wearing these gloves and they don't pinch/pull hair on my hands. They are also a good bit tougher than laytex gloves and provide a LOT more 'feel' for detail work than Mechanix or similar. If you haven't tried them yet i recommend them. I paid $5 or something for 40 gloves in a box at Wally World. They can be found in the pharmacy area. Erik

Wonder if Costco has them. They seem to have the best deal on Latex. I'm almost out and may make the switch.

I think the purple ones are part laytex/nitrile, the blue ones are nitrile (typically)

Rubber gloves are for girls and doctors. Grow a pair and buy some Go-Jo and a fingernail brush.

			Guys,

The rubber that the gloves are made of that are intended for automotive use is a "Nitrile" material and a synthetic form of rubber. If you used a natural latex rubber it would tend to breakdown or dissolve when in contact with pertroleum based liquids/oils etc. A more important point to mention here is that you can get a form of dermatitis sometimes severe from the continued use of latex products due to an allergy to the proteins in the latex rubber so use gloves that are made of "Nitrile" rubber over the other. The more you use latex the greater the chances of developing the allergy............ Dirty Marty Fallbrook,Ca P.S.I'm not a physican, I speak from personal experience |

I use N-dex they seem to work the best and are 4mil thick not like the cheap thin ones. cost more but well worth it plus sometimes you can reuse them.
