Hi again,

Found some wheels and tires for my 911 E 1969.

Will they work?:

Here is part numbers from the rims.Two are 911 361 020 00, and the other two, 901 361 012 06. They are all 6X15" but two have a deeper dish look than the other two for some reason. The tires are almost new, toyo spectra 195 60/r15. The paint and polish are not professionally done but it looks good.SmileWavy

"Deep Sixes" 69/71 Period Correct

911.361.020.00

"Flat Sixes" That take an Early 3-Prong Center Cap - 72/73 Period Correct

They will bolt right on:

If you need to make these work?

I would run the "Deep Sixes" rear

Run the "Flat Sixes" Front

It will give the illusion of a wider rear wheel with the lip.

Run 205/60/15's.

Reality is the appearance / constructions are different. Spokes, Lips, Heart Accents etc. are different with early Fuchs vs. Late Fuchs.

However, They did not come on 71 Model 911's.

Flat 6's came out on the 72/73 Model. 00 Codes.

The DEEP sixes are sought after....the flat ones are no big woop.....I have a full set and I plan on doing a full polish on them.....

Might want to consider selling the deeps, get two more flats. The deeps could end up paying for a full set of tires.....

Your statement is contradicted by the factory service manual, which states that the updated Fuchs with safety beads were fitted to all production 911s in March 1971 ... clearly, the last four months of 1971 models were built after that date!

Yes - You must start production on parts a year out.

71 Model Porsche 911's ran "Deep Six" 6jx15 - Not Flats.

FWIW, this has been debated on the Early S Registry and the consensus was that later '71's did indeed ship with "flat" Fuchs.

Running deep sixes in the rear and later ones in the front doesn't appeal to me. And that for sure ain't original. :D

Porsche does not have a good record for keeping all changes to the 911 consistant with the production year. The 2.4 CIS engine proves that better than any other example I can think of.

'71.5s came with flat 6s while the early ones had deeps. Sucks for me and my T dated 7-71... DAMN!

Not here to debate - Just wanted to give a little advise to assist a Pelican.

Go Deeps - All the way around with a 5th in the trunk. Anodized OEM, is the way to go.

I'm sure some 71's came with flats. I bought a 73 S that had 4.5'sx15's!

Go figure!

6x16s Work great! Run 205/55/16's.

I restore them in the same finish as the 6x15s pictured for early 911's and they are also popular with the 914 Crowd.
