Unhappy What happened to SCWDP Site?

Before I get started, I know that this should probably be in the Off Topic area, but I know more SC guys read this board regularly.

What happened to the SCWDP website?
I was interested in landing one of the T-Shirts, and maybe a window sticker for my new toy but the site's gone.

Anyone know what happened?
Has the movement gone underground?
Has the SC world domination plot collapsed?
Please let me know before I do something stupid like buy a Carerra (just kidding guys... lighten up. )

Seriously though, does anyone have a line on the shirts and stickers? Those were cool. Also, if anyone could fill me in as to the whereabouts or possible untimely demise of the website, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
--Bob

I didn't even know we had a website and I've been here since 2003. So it must've started and closed before I got here?

Yeah, I saw that. SCWDP.com is available too. I don't mind donating the server space if someone else will hold the reins. (I've got my hands full at the moment.) I've got a few dozen web servers downstairs collecting dust if someone has the content to upload and the time, and desire to keep it updated. I've got to focus on managing sites that allow me to keep the kids fed and to buy more car parts.

Hmm, I don't have a SC, but this could an interesting side venture...

Your side venture comment got me thinking. I grabbed the domain so no-one can steal it and demand millions. I've been burned a few times. Once its propagated through the DNS servers it will point to my company's main site. I'll get a splash page up until we can get some real content on there.

Ok, What OS does your server have? Most of my exp. is on the Linux side of things. What can we offer? T-shirts, logos.... Is there going to be a SC registry? Forum... OK, It's getting late for me, just thought I'd throw this out..

Make it a SC and Carrera WDP and you're it! What "kind" of 911 do you own?

Slodave: OS is not an issue. My server farm is split about 60/40 between Linux and Windows Servers. T-Shirts would be a good place to start, perhaps the stickers too. The forum is a definite must have, and also the registry, or at the very minimum a gallery of members cars. If the population density is rich enough, a few SC "meetings of the faithful" might be fun too. That is as long as no-one else is already doing it. I don't want to step on any toes with this. I know that's not the attitude for someone involved in a "World Domination Plot" but I guess I'm sort of a kinder and gentler evil genius.

WPOZZZ: You can be an associate member, but if you want full voting rights on the board of trustees, you'll have to back date that cab a couple of years and "upgrade" to a 3.0 engine. You need to be bullet proof if you want to take over the world.

There is already a SCWDP logo and T-shirt (I have two of them), so all we have to do is continue the good work...
Anyone interested in SCWDP t-shirts?

Exactly. That's the shirt I was looking for when I noticed the site was missing. I've seen a few different versions of the shirts, but no one seems to be actively marketing them right now. Any idea who's got the original graphics? As much as we can get pre-existing, the easier (translated "cheaper") the shirts can be to make. Of course, I've seen some pretty good artists on here, so there's always the option of a call to arms for artistic SC owners.

Yes, Pelican Member "Dan in Pasadena", was responsible for the logo and the shirts. It is all in the thread I posted above.
Here is the section in the tread with the logo design - Anyone interested in SCWDP t-shirts?

I would suggest sending Dan a PM, and see if we can get the logo file etc...

The original shirts were made back in '03 I think (by Gary?). I must have missed the 2G version.

Yup, I did two rounds of shirts a while ago and then Dan did round 3 with another design. My shirt websites are long gone as well as the Island911 valve adjustment tool website I did.
