Powerflow performance air filter

Hello fellow Porsche fans. I just discovered
this homepage and I must say that I'm impressed. Keep up the good work!

I want to replace the original airfilter box on my Euro 1984 911 3.2 with a Powerflow sports airfilter. Have any of you done this to your own car? I'm afraid that there will not be enough room in the engine bay for the filter. I tried earlier with a large K&N filter and had to take it out because the filter blocked the way of the engine lid hinge. Is it the same with the Powerflow filter? Any advice is welcome, thanks.
