Recommended Interior Trim Adhesive & Methods?
My old SC has lots of areas inside where the factory adhesive has given up the ghost, and leather and vinyl trim are flopping loose. I've tried 3M Fast Tack Westherstrip Adhesive, and also 3M Clear Trim Trim Adhesive, on some different areas but without great results - hard to get the trim to stick well, or for very long, it seems. Any recommendations on better products to use, and/or special techiques??

We use stuff here that they call "vinyl top adhesive". Sold by a local company called BD Trim. The local pro shops use the same stuff and works really well if applied properly.

I've used 3M high temp Super Trim Adhesive #08090 for foam headliners and it works well for its application. Its messy in the sense its a spray on. Both areas that you are making contact with need to be sprayed.
Lightly brushed on Weldwood contact cement(Home Depot) works well for leather stripping etc... Dan |
