RHD ignition key location?
Ok, so blame it on any number of things, I don't know why I thought of this question, but anyway, here it is: Where is the ignition key location on RHD 911s? Now, maybe on the newer models they have the steering wheel/ignition key interlock, I don't know about that, and if so, the question is moot. But, on the "older" cars, the key location on LHD cars is on the left side of the steering wheel, on the panel, presumably so that when racing drivers entered the car they'd be able to use one hand for turning the key/hitting the ignition switch (left hand) while the right hand could be getting ready to shift into gear. But, did Porsche treat the RHD cars the same way? Is the ignition on those on the right hand side of the steering wheel, or did it remain on the left hand side? I've looked in books, on Google image search, can't clearly see anything.
Thanks, kjtar@cox.net Tom Tulsa, OK

Mirror image
The RHD cars are a mirror image of the LHD. The key is on the right- see photo.

Excellent, thanks very much! Are the "modern" cars equpped with steering wheel/ignition interlock, or do they do the same thing now as they did then? (Meaning cars as modern as the 964 and up.)

Had a friend who had a '58 Ford (US) with the key on the panel to the left of the steering wheel. Maybe Porsche copied Ford?
