Web site updates (again)

If anybody's interested, I am wrapping up some massive updates to my web site, particularly the 911E resto project areas. There are over 200 pictures of the 911E saga now.

Caution: this site is heavily graphics-intensive, not for the bandwidth-challenged. Still tons of stuff not yet posted, but I've gotta get back to (paid) work sometime soon.

Main index: http://www.nosubstitute.org/index.asp
911E resto: http://www.nosubstitute.org/911e/index.asp

The fullsize (1600x1200, 400-900KB) versions of all the pics are also online, let me know if you want those.

Next update due 9/11 (coincidentally) after the Pelican meet!

Comments/questions welcomed.

Care to share how much the body work and paint process cost? Incredible job, and I'm amazed at how little rust there was.

Chris

What sort of camera are you using to take the photos (I assume a digital one).

Thanks

Cam

Thanks for the kind words guys! Suffice it to say the cost of the body/paint was fairly horrifying. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/eek.gif About what I paid for the entire car 10 years ago. The amount of labor was staggering; there was relatively little rust (Calif car etc) but they did a helluva lot of prep work.

Suffice it to say I can't afford to sell the car anytime soon! I built it as a "keeper", otherwise I wouldn't have gone so insane with it.

Cam -- as of 5/2000 the pics are from a Nikon CP800, which is a "midrange" ($400 and change on the net) megapixel camera. A real stealth bargain -- basically the same camera internally as the 950, which costs several hundred$ more. I have two extra lenses, a filter kit etc. which provide a lot of flexibility compared to most digicams which are not even threaded for add on lenses.

Updates to the site will be posted regularly. I redesigned it in a way that I can regenerate the pages very quickly/easily to add new pics.
