Post pics of 911R replicas here...

I was thinking it would be nice to have a thread for each of the common early car modifications. An easy and convenient place where someone could go for ideas if they were planning a project of their own and a place where we could showcase common cars. I will start threads for the R, RS, RSR and ST.

One of my all time favorites...

This car was flawless, pics taken at 2004, I think the creator of Speedvision owns it

Those are all beautiful, but they are all LWB cars. Weren't the originals SWB cars?

These are the only photos I have handy of John Thornton's beautiful "912R." It is one of the most beautiful cars I have every seen. His car was not geared for an autocross, but he was very sporting about participating in a 912 event at a PCA GGR AX a few years back. Nice guy, too.

That's my sand beige '66 912, and his car is two cars behind it. My intention is to build a 911R replica out of an early 912 one of these days...

The R's have nice clean lines -- none of those ugly hump wheel flares...
