anyone know if this is Al or Mg?

Fraid I don't know by part number Randy, but the metal color should tell you...mag is gray, aluminum quite a bit brighter...

thx Paul, but it is all black... inside & out -- not even a scratch on it to see the metal
maybe some paint will flake off after I finish running it thru the dishwasher...

HI if the R/Cover is painted black then it is more than likely it is mag', as the ally' was not painted, the other way to check is to put a strait edge across it and see if it is warped, if it is, it is mag.
