M&K - single in\single out - looking for sound clip
I'm looking at an M&K single in\single out for my 87 carrera. Does anyone have a sound clip?
I don't have SSI's and I'm using the factory Cat. Looking for better sound. I've heard the dual out and it's a bit loud for me. Daily driver - street only....for now. Last edited by Bearded Viking; 11-25-2006 at 09:42 AM.. |

There's some sound clips of the dual out on here somewhere. I'd say it sounds about the same. I had a single in/out on my 87 except with a dansk euro premuffler and thought it was similar to the sound clip.
btw - don't count on any HP from a muffler change. The HP gain (8ish) can be had by using a euro pre muffler.

Thanks Don, not counting on HP. Mainly looking for a few more notes from the exhaust. If it sounds like dual out, than I may just stick with stock.

thinkfloyd14 - Thanks!
Any chance you have a sound clip\video of a drive by with the M&K? |

Unfortunately I don't have a drive by clip, but I'm pretty sure a single out will be fine for you. It may seem loud, but in the cabin its really not annoying at all.

Bearded Viking:
FWIW, Ben made me a single in dual out (pictured below) and I am totally happy with the volume level. It seemed a little loud at first, but it kind of melowed after 1,000 miles. I love it! Mike

Is it just me, or did anybody else notice a metallic sound at the very end of the clip? It almost sounded like something was loose inside the muffler.
The muffler sounded great, otherwise.

Ben has sounds clips on his website. Search "Stinger" and his link will come up, IIRC.
